Definition of Islam as it relates to Religions, Monotheism, Allah, Muhammad

Islam is a monotheistic religion founded on the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. It emphasizes the worship of one god, Allah, and follows the belief in holy texts known as the Quran. The religion promotes peace, equality, and social justice, encouraging followers to lead moral lives and help those in need. As a continuation of the monotheistic traditions of Judaism and Christianity, Islam recognizes many of the same prophets and beliefs while introducing unique practices such as daily prayer, fasting during Ramadan, and pilgrimages to Mecca. Islamic culture has greatly influenced art, literature, philosophy, science, and law throughout history, making significant contributions to human civilization.
