Definition of Sunnis as it relates to Religions, Monotheism, Muhammad

Sunnis follow the teachings and traditions of Prophet Muhammad, which include specific practices and interpretations of Islamic law. They believe in the authority of the first four caliphs who succeeded Muhammad and are considered rightly-guided by Sunnis. This branch of Islam places emphasis on the sunnah (the sayings and actions of Muhammad) as recorded in hadiths, and follows one of the four main schools of Islamic jurisprudence: Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, or Hanbali. Sunnis make up the majority of Muslims worldwide and are found in various countries, with significant populations in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Indonesia.
