Instructional Design
Instructional Design refers to the systematic and reflective process of translating principles of learning and instruction into plans for instructional materials, activities, information resources, and evaluation. It encompasses the entire process of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of instruction and the environment in which it occurs. The primary goal is to improve learner performance and increase subject matter mastery, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making abilities. Instructional Design can be applied in various educational contexts including K-12 education, higher education, vocational education, and training, as well as in the design of technology-enhanced learning environments. It draws upon a range of disciplines including education, psychology, computer science, and graphic design to create effective and engaging learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of learners.
