Instructional Design
Instructional Design encompasses the systematic process of creating, selecting, organizing, and evaluating educational materials, activities, and experiences with the goal of improving learning and performance. It integrates theories and principles from education, instructional technology, cognitive psychology, and other related fields to design effective and engaging learning environments. Instructional designers consider learner characteristics, contextual factors, and desired outcomes in order to develop instruction that is meaningful, relevant, and accessible to a diverse range of learners. They employ various instructional strategies, media, and technologies to facilitate learning and assess learner progress. Instructional design is an iterative process that involves ongoing analysis, reflection, and refinement to ensure the continuous improvement of instruction.
