Instructional Design
Instructional Design refers to a systematic and reflective process of translating principles of learning and instruction into plans for instructional materials, activities, information resources, and evaluation. It encompasses the analysis of learning needs and contexts, development of learning objectives, selection and organization of content, design of instructional strategies, creation of assessment tools, and management of the development, implementation, and evaluation process. The aim is to ensure that learners achieve their intended learning outcomes effectively and efficiently in a variety of educational settings, including elementary education and career education. Instructional designers may work in diverse contexts such as K-12 schools, higher education institutions, corporations, government agencies, and non-profit organizations, using various instructional methods and technologies to create engaging, interactive, and meaningful learning experiences for learners of all ages and backgrounds.
