Definition of Instructional Design as it relates to Education, Kindergarten Education, Academic Advising

Instructional Design refers to the systematic and reflective process of translating principles of learning and instruction into plans for instructional materials, activities, information resources, and evaluation. It encompasses the analysis of learning needs and goals, the design, development, implementation, evaluation and management of instructions and often integrates various forms of media and technology. Instructional Design is applicable in diverse educational settings including Kindergarten Education, Academic Advising and other formal or informal education contexts. It aims to improve learner engagement, motivation, understanding and retention while ensuring accessibility, usability and inclusivity.
