Instructional Design
Instructional Design refers to the systematic and reflective process of translating principles of learning and instruction into plans for instructional materials, activities, information resources, and evaluation. It encompasses the analysis of learning needs and goals, the design, development, implementation, evaluation and management of instructions, and the integration of technology and media. The focus is on creating effective, engaging and efficient learning experiences that cater to different learning styles and preferences, and facilitate the acquisition of knowledge, skills and attitudes. Instructional Design is applied in various educational contexts, including traditional schooling, adult education, literacy education, professional development and training. It draws on theories and principles from cognitive psychology, learning sciences, educational technology, and other related fields.
