Instructional Design
Instructional Design refers to a systematic and reflective process of translating principles of learning and instruction into plans for instructional materials, activities, information resources, and evaluation. It involves creating learning experiences that make the most effective use of technology and traditional media to enhance student understanding. The field is interdisciplinary, drawing from education, cognitive psychology, computer science, and design. In Home Economics Education and Integrated Science Education, instructional designers might create lessons that incorporate real-world applications, hands-on activities, and technology to promote active learning and engagement.
