Instructional Design
Instructional Design refers to the systematic process of creating, selecting, organizing, and evaluating educational materials, activities, information resources, and evaluation tools in order to improve learner outcomes. It is informed by theories of learning and instruction, as well as principles of usability and accessibility. Instructional designers may work in a variety of settings, including K-12 education, higher education, corporate training, and e-learning. They may be responsible for tasks such as conducting needs assessments, developing learning objectives, creating storyboards and prototypes, selecting appropriate technologies, and evaluating the effectiveness of instructional materials. The goal of instructional design is to create engaging, effective, and efficient learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of learners.
