Buddhism

Definition of Buddhism as it relates to Religions, Monotheism, Prophets

Buddhism, as part of the "Religions" hierarchy and specifically related to the concept of "Prophets," refers to the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama, also known as the Buddha. At its core, Buddhism is about achieving enlightenment through understanding the Four Noble Truths and following the Eightfold Path. While it may not fit neatly under the category of "Monotheism," it certainly has a prophetic figure in the Buddha and can be seen as a spiritual tradition focused on personal transformation and liberation from suffering. The principles of compassion, mindfulness, and wisdom are central to this path, which diverges from traditional Western monotheistic religions but still holds profound significance for its followers.
