Definition of Buddhism as it relates to Religions, Atheism, Existentialism

Buddhism, as a part of the Existentialism hierarchy, explores the fundamental nature of human existence, questioning the purpose and meaning of life. It delves into the nature of the self and consciousness while emphasizing individual freedom and choice. Unlike atheism, which rejects the existence of God or gods, Buddhism acknowledges various forms of the divine but does not require a belief in a personal god for spiritual growth. In contrast to some religions that may offer prescribed beliefs and practices, Buddhism encourages personal exploration and understanding, aligning with the spirit of existential inquiry.
