Sikhism

Definition of Sikhism as it relates to Religions, Pantheism, Rastafarianism

Sikhism is a monotheistic religion founded in the Punjab region of India in the 15th century. It emphasizes the belief in one universal God, the importance of leading an honest life, and the pursuit of spiritual truth through meditation and service to others. In the hierarchy "Religions/Pantheism/Rastafarianism/Sikhism", Sikhism is distinct from pantheism, which holds that the universe itself is divine, and Rastafarianism, a religious movement that originated in Jamaica in the 1930s. While Sikhism shares some similarities with these other belief systems, such as a focus on spiritual growth and social justice, it has its own unique teachings and practices. At its core, Sikhism is about cultivating a deep and personal relationship with God through prayer, meditation, and good deeds. It emphasizes the importance of treating all people with respect and dignity, regardless of their background or circumstances. Through these principles, Sikhism offers a path to spiritual fulfillment that is both grounded in everyday life and deeply connected to the divine.
