Sikhism
Sikhism is a monotheistic religion founded in the Punjab region of India during the late 15th century. It emphasizes the belief in a single, formless God who is present everywhere and in everything. The central teaching of Sikhism is the pursuit of truth through meditation, prayer, and service to others. As a child category to Islam under the broader category of Religions, Sikhism shares some similarities with Islam such as a belief in one God, but it also has distinct differences. For example, Sikhs do not have a concept of prophethood like Muslims, and they reject the idea of a clergy or priesthood. In contrast to Agnosticism, which questions the existence or knowability of God, Sikhism asserts that God exists and can be known through personal experience and spiritual practice. The teachings of Sikhism provide guidance for leading an ethical and spiritually fulfilling life, with a strong emphasis on equality, social justice, and service to others.
