Sikhism
Sikhism is a monotheistic religion founded in the Punjab region of India during the late 15th century. It emphasizes the belief in one universal God, the importance of equality and service to the community, and the pursuit of spiritual truth through meditation and living a virtuous life. Sikhism's teachings are codified in its holy text, the Guru Granth Sahib, which serves as the ultimate guide for its followers. As a distinct religion with its own unique beliefs and practices, Sikhism is not a subcategory of Christianity or any other specific religion. However, it does fit within the broader category of "Religions" alongside Christianity, Agnosticism, and others, as one of many different paths to spiritual enlightenment and connection with the divine. Sikhism's emphasis on compassion, justice, and service to others makes it a valuable contributor to the wider religious discourse, offering insights and perspectives that can be meaningful and relevant to people from all backgrounds and belief systems.
