Special Education refers to an education system designed to meet the unique learning needs and abilities of students with disabilities, such as intellectual, physical, emotional, or developmental impairments. It is focused on providing specialized instruction, resources, and support to help these students reach their full potential in a safe and inclusive environment. Special educators work closely with other professionals, including general education teachers, psychologists, and therapists, to create individualized learning plans that address each student's unique challenges and strengths. These plans may include modifications to the curriculum, instructional strategies, or assessment methods, as well as accommodations in the classroom or school setting. The goal of special education is to help students with disabilities develop their skills, knowledge, and confidence, so they can become independent and productive members of society.
