Torah
The Torah, also known as the Pentateuch, is the first section of the Jewish Tanakh and the Christian Old Testament. It consists of five books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. In Judaism, the Torah is considered the most sacred text, as it contains the laws and teachings given by God to Moses at Mount Sinai. The Torah lays the foundation for Jewish beliefs, practices, and identity, and its study and interpretation are central to Jewish life. It is seen as a guide for daily living, providing moral, ethical, and legal principles. As a fundamental text of Monotheistic Religions, it emphasizes the oneness of God and the covenant between God and the people of Israel.
