Hebrew Bible
The Hebrew Bible, also known as the Tanakh, is the sacred scripture of Judaism and a foundational text for Christianity. It consists of three main sections: the Torah (also called the Pentateuch), the Nevi'im (Prophets), and the Ketuvim (Writings). The Hebrew Bible is written in Hebrew, with some portions in Aramaic. It contains historical accounts, laws, poetry, prophetic writings, and other texts that are central to Jewish belief and practice. As a subcategory of Religion and a child category of Hebrew within the hierarchy of Languages/Hebrew/Religion, the Hebrew Bible represents the intersection of language and spirituality, providing insight into both the religious traditions it serves and the linguistic heritage of the people who wrote and transmitted it.
