Definition of Art History as it relates to Art, Performance Art, Action Art

is a modern art movement characterized by its exploration and depiction of dreamlike, fantastical, and irrational imagery. It seeks to challenge traditional perceptions of reality and logic, often juxtaposing seemingly unrelated elements in order to evoke unexpected emotions and thoughts. Surrealist artists reject the constraints of neoclassicism, instead embracing a more fluid and spontaneous approach to their work that allows for greater freedom of expression and experimentation. The movement has had a profound impact on the world of art and continues to inspire new generations of creators today.
