Modern Art

Definition of Modern Art as it relates to Art, Performance Art, Action Art

Installation Art: A form of artistic expression characterized by the creation and arrangement of immersive, often experiential environments that actively engage viewers through sight, sound, touch, and occasionally smell or taste. These artworks are site-specific, meaning they are designed to exist in a particular space, transforming it into an alternate reality that encourages exploration, contemplation, and interaction. Installations may incorporate a wide range of materials, from traditional media such as paint and sculpture to found objects, technology, or performance elements. They transcend the boundaries between disciplines, challenging conventions and inviting visitors to reconsider their perceptions of art, space, and the world around them.
