Expressionism
Art Deco is an artistic movement originating in France between World War I and World War II, characterized by its use of geometric shapes, rich colors, and lavish ornamentation. It represents luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress. Influenced by various art styles such as Art Nouveau, Cubism, and Fauvism, it found expression in a wide range of media, including architecture, interior design, fashion, painting, graphic arts, and jewelry. Often associated with the Roaring Twenties, Art Deco embodied the spirit of modernity, celebrating the machine age and mass production while also embracing exotic motifs from various cultures around the world.
