Monotheism
Monotheism, as a belief system, posits the existence of a single, supreme deity who is the creator and ruler of the universe. This belief contrasts with polytheistic religions which have multiple gods and goddesses. In the context of pantheism, monotheism can be understood as recognizing a unifying divine force or principle that pervades all of existence. At the same time, monotheism distinguishes itself from agnosticism, which holds that the existence of deities is unknown or unknowable, and from religions that encompass multiple belief systems or spiritual practices. In this hierarchy, monotheism represents a specific perspective on ultimate reality within the broader context of pantheism, while also maintaining its distinctiveness in relation to other religious and philosophical orientations such as agnosticism and various religions with their own unique beliefs and practices.
