Zoroastrianism

Definition of Zoroastrianism as it relates to Religions, Pantheism, Thelema

Zoroastrianism is an ancient Persian religion that focuses on the worship of Ahura Mazda, the supreme god of wisdom and order. It emphasizes the concepts of good thoughts, good words, and good deeds as the path to righteousness. Within the context of Thelema, Zoroastrianism can be seen as a precursor to the monotheistic traditions that would later emerge, with its emphasis on a single, benevolent deity and the importance of individual spiritual development. At the same time, Zoroastrianism's dualistic worldview, which pits the forces of good against those of evil, resonates with certain aspects of Thelema's own metaphysical framework. In this way, Zoroastrianism can be understood as a tradition that explores many of the same themes and questions as Thelema, albeit through a different cultural and historical lens.
