Zoroastrianism

Definition of Zoroastrianism as it relates to Religions, Agnosticism, Islam

Zoroastrianism, as a child category to Islam and part of the Religions hierarchy, is an ancient monotheistic religion originating in Persia. It emphasizes on the eternal struggle between good (Ahura Mazda) and evil (Angra Mainyu), with humans playing a crucial role in this battle through their thoughts, words, and actions. Zoroastrianism promotes virtues such as humata (good thoughts), hukhta (good words), and havarsta (good deeds). It has significantly influenced other religions, including Islam, especially in the areas of eschatology and angelology. Despite sharing some commonalities with Agnosticism, Zoroastrianism remains a distinct faith that is deeply rooted in the belief of an ultimately triumphant good over evil.
