Protestantism

Definition of Protestantism as it relates to Religions, Agnosticism, Confucianism

"Protestantism" under "Confucianism," in the context of "Religions" and "Agnosticism," can be described as a branch of Christianity that originated in the 16th century, emphasizing the authority of the Bible and the importance of faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. It rejects certain traditions and practices of the Roman Catholic Church, such as the use of sacraments and the authority of the Pope. In contrast to "Agnosticism," which holds that the existence of God is unknown or unknowable, Protestantism affirms the existence and sovereignty of God, and the need for a personal relationship with Him through faith in Jesus Christ. Compared to "Confucianism," which focuses on ethics, morality, and social harmony, Protestantism places a greater emphasis on individual salvation and the belief in the divinity of Jesus Christ.
