Physical Education
Physical Education (PE) refers to the branch of education concerned with the teaching and learning of motor skills, physical fitness, health, and social development. It is an academic discipline that combines aspects of science education, teacher education, and kinesiology to facilitate optimal student growth and development. PE teachers design and implement curricula to enhance students' physical competence, health-related fitness, cognitive understanding, and affective/psychosocial behavior. They also foster positive attitudes towards physical activity and promote lifelong healthy habits through quality instruction, assessment, and evaluation. Overall, Physical Education plays a critical role in developing well-rounded individuals who are prepared to lead active and healthy lives.
