Evolutionary Biology
The study of how organisms have evolved and diversified over time through the process of natural selection, genetic drift, and other mechanisms. This field examines how species have adapted to their environments, how new species have arisen, and how traits are passed down through generations. Evolutionary biologists analyze the genetic and physical changes that occur within populations and species, as well as the patterns of relationships between different organisms.
