Postmodern Art: A radical departure from traditional artistic practices and theories, characterized by skepticism towards grand narratives, metanarratives, and universal truth claims. It emphasizes the fragmentation, plurality, and instability of meaning, often through irony, parody, and appropriation. Postmodern art is informed by a wide range of philosophical, social, and cultural influences, including deconstruction, semiotics, feminism, psychoanalysis, and multiculturalism, among others. It values subjective experience and interpretation over objective truth, and challenges conventional notions of beauty, originality, and authenticity. Postmodern art is often associated with various movements and styles, such as pop art, minimalism, conceptual art, performance art, and installation art, among others.
