Confucianism
Confucianism, an ethical and philosophical system developed from the teachings of the Chinese philosopher Confucius (551-479 BCE), is deeply embedded in Chinese culture and history. It emphasizes personal and governmental morality, correctness of social relationships, justice, kindness, and sincerity. Confucianism is not a religion in the traditional sense but rather a way of life or a set of principles to guide one's behavior towards others and oneself. Its influence extends beyond China, shaping the cultures and traditions of other East Asian countries such as Japan, Korea, and Vietnam. The teachings of Confucianism have been instrumental in forming the social structure, moral values, and educational system in these regions for centuries.
