Whales
Whales are large marine mammals that belong to the order Cetacea. They are characterized by their streamlined bodies, horizontal tail flukes, and blowholes located on top of their heads. Whales are known for their intelligence, social behavior, and complex communication systems. They are found in oceans and seas around the world, with some species undertaking long migrations between feeding and breeding grounds. Whales are divided into two main suborders: toothed whales (Odontoceti) and baleen whales (Mysticeti). Toothed whales have teeth for catching prey, while baleen whales have baleen plates for filter-feeding. Some well-known species of whales include the blue whale, humpback whale, sperm whale, and killer whale.
