Hippos

Hippos are large, mostly herbivorous mammals native to sub-Saharan Africa. They are known for their barrel-shaped bodies, short legs, large mouths, and teeth that can grow up to 20 inches long. Hippos spend most of their days in the water to keep cool and only emerge at night to graze on grass. Despite their seemingly docile appearance, hippos are considered one of the most dangerous animals in Africa due to their aggressive nature and powerful jaws.
