Transcendentalism
Transcendentalism emphasizes the inherent goodness of people and nature. Adherents believe that society and its institutions have corrupted the purity of the individual, and they have faith that people are at their best when truly "self-reliant" and independent. It advocates for the idea of personal introspection and the discovery of truths that exist beyond empirical, scientific proof or religious doctrine. Transcendentalists find divinity in nature and within themselves. This perspective aligns with Taoism's focus on living harmoniously with the natural world and cultivating one's inner self. In the hierarchy of Religions/Taoism/Beliefs, Transcendentalism represents a unique blend of elements from various religious and philosophical traditions, forming its own distinct belief system.
