Transcendentalism
Transcendentalism emphasizes the inherent goodness of people and the spiritual potential within everyone. It asserts that society and its institutions have corrupted the purity of the individual, and advocates for the solitary pursuit of spiritual truth. This perspective fits into the hierarchy of Religions/Agnosticism/Pantheism by recognizing a higher power or ultimate truth, but rejecting organized religion and instead emphasizing personal experience and intuition in the search for understanding. Transcendentalists believe that a close relationship with nature can facilitate the achievement of a higher state of consciousness, and they advocate for the protection of the natural world as a means of preserving its spiritual significance. Ultimately, transcendentalism promotes the idea of individual divine potential and the interconnectedness of all living things.
