Astronomy, as part of Space Technology, involves the scientific study of celestial objects and phenomena outside Earth's atmosphere. It is concerned with the observation, interpretation, and modeling of stars, planets, galaxies, and other cosmic entities, drawing upon principles from physics, chemistry, and mathematics to understand their composition, structure, and evolution. Astronomy also encompasses the development and use of ground-based and spaceborne observatories, as well as computational tools for data analysis and theoretical modeling. By investigating the universe's fundamental laws and processes, astronomy contributes significantly to our knowledge of Space Science and the broader field of Science.
