Astronomy

Definition of Astronomy as it relates to Science, Engineering, Electronic Engineering

Astronomy, as part of Electronic Engineering within Science and Engineering, is the study of celestial objects and phenomena. It involves the development and use of advanced technology to observe and analyze the universe beyond our planet. This includes designing and building telescopes and other instruments to detect and measure various forms of radiation, such as visible light, infrared, ultraviolet, radio waves, and x-rays. Astronomers also use computers to model and simulate astronomical phenomena, and to analyze data collected from space missions and ground-based observatories. By studying the properties and behavior of celestial objects, astronomers can gain insights into the origins and evolution of the universe, as well as the physical laws that govern it.
