Field Theory
Field Theory is a branch of theoretical physics and mathematics that studies the behavior of fundamental particles and forces in the universe. It is centered around the concept of a "field", which assigns a value to every point in space and time, representing the distribution of some physical quantity such as energy or charge. Field theories provide a mathematical framework for describing how these fields interact with each other and with matter, leading to phenomena like electromagnetism, gravity, and the strong and weak nuclear forces. They have been crucial in the development of modern physics, including the formulation of quantum mechanics and the standard model of particle physics.
