Calculus
Calculus, as part of the Field Theory hierarchy within Mathematics and Science, studies change and motion through the use of mathematical concepts. It is divided into two main branches: differential calculus, which deals with the concept of a derivative to analyze rates at which quantities change, and integral calculus, which concerns accumulation of quantities and the relationship between a curve and the area under it. Calculus has wide applications in various fields such as physics, engineering, economics, statistics, and computer science. It provides a systematic approach to solving problems involving variables that change over time or space, making it an essential tool for modeling and understanding complex systems. In this context, calculus serves as a bridge between abstract mathematical concepts and real-world situations, further emphasizing its role in the broader scientific landscape.
