Religious Studies
Religious Studies is an academic discipline dedicated to examining religious beliefs, practices, and experiences from a critical and interdisciplinary perspective. It encompasses various fields such as history, anthropology, sociology, philosophy, and theology, among others. Religious Education, on the other hand, refers to the teaching and learning of religious knowledge, values, and skills in formal or informal settings. Vocational Education is a type of education that prepares individuals for specific trades or occupations, while Education broadly refers to the process of facilitating learning, acquiring knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits. Religious Studies, therefore, can be described as an academic pursuit of understanding the nature, function, and impact of religion on human societies and cultures, incorporating various educational approaches such as Religious Education and Vocational Education to achieve its goals.
