Native American Studies
Native American Studies is an academic discipline dedicated to the exploration and preservation of indigenous cultures, histories, and languages within the United States context. This field encompasses a wide range of topics such as traditional knowledge systems, spiritual practices, art forms, literature, linguistics, governance, land rights, environmental justice, education, health, and identity politics. Native American Studies aims to empower native communities by fostering self-determination, resilience, and cultural continuity in the face of ongoing colonization and marginalization.
