Native American Studies is an academic field dedicated to the exploration and preservation of the cultures, histories, languages, literatures, and contemporary issues of Native communities in the United States. The discipline emphasizes Indigenous perspectives, methodologies, and epistemologies, often drawing on interdisciplinary approaches that incorporate anthropology, history, sociology, literature, art, religious studies, and more.
