Globalization
Globalization, within the context of cultures, American culture, and native American studies, refers to the interconnectedness and interdependence of nations, societies, and cultures around the world through the rapid exchange of goods, services, ideas, and values. It encompasses the process by which businesses, organizations, and individuals transcend national boundaries to operate on a global scale, leading to the emergence of a global economy and culture. Globalization affects all aspects of society, including politics, economics, technology, and social norms, and has resulted in increased cultural exchange, diversity, and understanding, as well as challenges related to identity, inequality, and sustainability. The study of globalization within the context of cultures, American culture, and native American studies highlights the complex ways in which local and global forces interact and shape one another, shedding light on issues such as cultural imperialism, resistance, and hybridity.
