Fauvism
Fauvist Art Style, also known as Fauvism, is an early 20th century art movement characterized by the use of bold, vibrant colors and expressive brushstrokes. The name "Fauves" means "wild beasts," which reflects the artists' wild, uninhibited approach to painting. This style rejects traditional notions of naturalism and realism, instead favoring a more subjective, emotional interpretation of the world. Fauvist artists sought to break free from academic conventions, using color as an independent element rather than a means of depicting form. The movement was short-lived, but it had a profound impact on the development of modern art, paving the way for expressionism and abstract art.
