Gnosticism

Gnosticism is a collection of ancient religious ideas and systems that placed a strong emphasis on spiritual knowledge, mysticism, and personal experience of the divine. Followers of Gnosticism believed that salvation and enlightenment could be attained through this inner knowledge, rather than through traditional religious practices or doctrines. Gnosticism often involved complex cosmologies, dualistic beliefs, and the idea of a transcendent, unknowable God. Many Gnostic texts were discovered in the 20th century, shedding light on this unique and diverse spiritual tradition.
