Baseball

Definition of Baseball as it relates to Sports, Olympic Games, Winter Sports

Baseball is a sport played with a bat and ball, characterized by its emphasis on teamwork, strategy, and skill. It involves two teams of nine players each, who take turns batting and fielding. The objective is for the batting team to hit the ball and run around four bases before the fielding team can retrieve and throw the ball to the base, thus scoring a run. While not traditionally considered a Winter Sport, there are indoor baseball leagues and tournaments that occur during winter months. Therefore, it can fit under the broader category of Winter Sports while still maintaining its connection to Olympic Games and Sports as a whole.
