Climate Change

Definition of Climate Change as it relates to Environment, Endangered Species

Climate change encompasses global shifts in weather patterns and temperatures over an extended period, primarily caused by human activities such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation. As a result, climate change has significant impacts on both the environment and endangered species. It disrupts ecosystems, leads to habitat loss, accelerates sea-level rise, intensifies extreme weather events, and alters seasonal cycles, threatening biodiversity and exacerbating the plight of vulnerable species. By studying climate change, we aim to understand its causes, predict future trends, mitigate its effects, and adapt our societies to preserve Earth's delicate balance for generations to come.
