Environmental Education

Definition of Environmental Education as it relates to Education, Physical Education, Coaching

Environmental Education encompasses teaching and learning about the natural world and how humans interact with it, in order to promote sustainability and environmental stewardship. It is an interdisciplinary field that incorporates elements of education, physical education, coaching, and other disciplines. The goal is to develop students' understanding of environmental issues, encourage them to take action for the betterment of the environment, and help them become responsible citizens in a sustainable world. This may include activities such as hiking, gardening, field trips, and hands-on projects that foster a connection with nature and promote environmental awareness.
