Organizational Development (OD) refers to a systematic approach aimed at improving an organization's effectiveness and alignment with its mission, vision, and values through various interventions. It involves diagnosing organizational needs, designing and implementing change initiatives, and evaluating their impact on business performance, culture, and employee engagement. OD is interdisciplinary, drawing from fields such as psychology, sociology, business, and HRM, and encompasses areas such as leadership development, team building, communication, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and organizational design. At its core, OD seeks to create a positive work environment that supports continuous learning, growth, and innovation, while fostering a culture of collaboration, trust, and accountability.
