This group encompasses various phyla such as arthropods (insects, crustaceans, arachnids), mollusks (snails, clams, squid), annelids (earthworms, leeches), echinoderms (sea stars, sea urchins), and cnidarians (jellyfish, corals). Invertebrates display a wide range of body forms, adaptations, and behaviors, making them essential components of ecosystems worldwide. They occupy various habitats, from the deepest ocean trenches to terrestrial environments, playing vital roles as decomposers, scavengers, predators, and prey. Invertebrates exhibit unique biological traits such as exoskeletons, radial symmetry, and complex life cycles, contributing to their ecological success and diversity.
