Deep Learning

Definition of Deep Learning as it relates to Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence Algorithms, Computer Vision, High Performance Computing

Deep Learning, a subset of High Performance Computing, focuses on neural networks with many layers (hence "deep"). These models are capable of learning complex patterns and representations from large datasets, making them particularly suitable for tasks such as computer vision and natural language processing. They excel in areas where traditional machine learning algorithms struggle, such as image recognition, speech recognition, and language translation. Deep Learning is an evolution of artificial intelligence algorithms that harness the power of today's computing hardware to process vast amounts of data, enabling machines to recognize patterns, understand language, and even make decisions with minimal human intervention. By continuously refining these models through training on ever-growing datasets, we can expect deep learning systems to become increasingly proficient at tasks requiring human-like intelligence.
