Network Attached Storage

Definition of Network Attached Storage as it relates to Electronics, Computers, Computer Accessories, Scanners, Microphones

Network Attached Storage (NAS) refers to dedicated file-level computer data storage servers connected to a computer network that provide data access to a heterogeneous group of clients. Essentially, NAS is an intelligent device that connects directly to your router and allows you to store files and data on it which can be accessed remotely by multiple users simultaneously. It is often used for backing up data, sharing large files between team members or family members, or centralizing storage for media streaming. This makes NAS a key component of many modern home and business networks.
