Network Attached Storage
A Network Attached Storage (NAS) device is a dedicated file-level computer data storage server connected to a computer network providing data access to a heterogeneous group of clients. It provides data access, storage, and management services to network users in an organization's Identity and Access Management system. The NAS device can be configured with various levels of security protocols to ensure that only authorized users have access to the data stored on it. In addition, it can be integrated with other Network Security measures such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems to provide a comprehensive data protection solution. As part of an organization's Technology infrastructure, NAS devices offer scalability, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness in managing large volumes of data, making them an essential component in Identity and Access Management.
